I first went to Dr. Snow with pain in my left hip, fully thinking I would soon be needing surgery. He and his fine staff addressed my needs and recommended treatment. It was less than a month that I soon became almost pain free following the expertise treatment from Dr. Snow. Today, I am pain free, while keeping with an intermediate schedule with Dr. Snow. I can now return to my normal exercising without any pain during and afterwards.

Just wanted to thank you and your staff for the prompt and courteous care I receive when I visit your office. Since I have been getting routine chiropractic care, I have noticed my overall health has improved. I managed to get through the cold and flu season with barely a sniffle, less headaches and stress, and I sleep better. This is my story, it's a good one.

I am a 66 year old patient of the Choice of Health P.A. For years I had not understood the importance of good chiropractic spinal care. But I did learn the hard way. Several years ago, working as a paramedic, while lifting many obese and overweight patients, I injured my back. That injury has caused me severe pain and immobility for approx. 10 years. I have spent many days flat on my back in pain. I have seen many doctors, and have taken a variety of prescription pain medications.

I have Spondylosisthesis of the L-5 vertebra, grade -1, (slipped disk) with some arthritis of the joint  that has entrapped and irritated the nerve. This has cost me years of savier pain and has periodically kept me from my work. It has limited my ability for getting exercise which is directly needed for this condition. After seeing several doctors, I ended up with an Orthopedic Surgeon where I received an M.R.I. and several cortisone injections which only help for a short interval, the only option left was laminectomy ( surgery). I was told by the surgeon that this would be a last ditch option, because of the possible complication, risk of infection and expense, and that I should try to live through the pain. I was given several medications for pain. When asking if there was any additional therapy I could seek, only one name was given, Dr. Richard Snow. My surgeon suggested I should give him a try, and Dr. Snow was the only chiropractor he would recommend.

I have seen Dr. Snow for a year and a half with great success. Dr. Snow through chiropractic manipulations has kept me drug free and reduced my pain to a mild tolerable level, with no loss of work. I have found that Dr. Snow has a real concern for his patients. He has given suggestions, and is gentle with his adjustments. He has an outstanding staff, always cheerful and polite.

He has reduced my suffering, and increased my mobility, and allows me to remain virtually drug free, getting the exercise I need, and doing the " Honey Do" list that never ends.

He has earned my trust and respect. As a rule I do not give recommendations for professionals doing their job, however in this case, Dr. Richard Snow has my highest recommendation.

Dear Dr. Snow,

We wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the chiropractic care you have provided for Alyssa. She started swim team this week and it is going great! At this time last year we never would have imagined that she would be able to participate in this sport ( or many others!) at all or atleast without the use of numerous allergy and asthma medications! It was almost exactly a year ago Alyssa was on seven medications and inhalers to control her ashtma and allergy symptoms. After just three weeks of swim team she had an asthma attack one morning that led to pleurisy. Not only did she miss quite a bit of school but this situation ended her swim season, as well. This year, thanks to your wonderful care, she is swimming without the use of medications and loving it! She also made it through the spring and fall allergy seasons without the use of medication and without having an asthma attack for the first time in seven years! We can't tell you what a delight and relief this is to all of us. Alyssa is now able to do things she wants to do (she's even considering running cross country in the fall!) because you're helping her control her asthma rather than having her asthma control her life.

Thank you for the pain and back relief you have given mom, dad and I, as well. The quality of life you've helped restore for so many members of our family is dramatic and so very appreciated!

I have suffered with headaches most of my life (32 years old).  I've been to multiple specialists and tried numerous different treatments with little or no success.  I went to see Dr. Snow as a recommendation of a friend beginning April 2008.  Frankly, I didn't believe it would help, but I had no other options.  Now I don't suffer with headaches like I use to.  I was a little hesitant at first with getting care because of the frequency of the treatments, but it is well worth it to be headache free.  I now come in every 3 months for what Dr. Snow calls ' wellness care' ; it's keeping the headaches away!

I have been a patient of Dr. Snow's office for almost 5 months.  I have always had painful periods.  Every month I dreaded my period because I knew the pain would be excruciating.  The first period after seeing the doctor was the same as usual.  The 2nd and 3rd period, I was starting to see results and I noticed my periods were not as painful as usual.  Last month, I actually had no pain at all.  I was so relieved and will continue to see the doctor to keep my periods normal and pain free.

Dear Friend,

I am a 49 year old painting contractor in Overland Park. I have always enjoyed playing sports until the age of 42 when I started having foot problems and was diagnosed with plantar fascitis. Over the last seven years I have received many treatments for plantar fascitis such as "the boot", cortisone shots in the heel, rehab exercise, rolling a frozen water bottle under my foot, and trying multiple shoe inserts. I had temporary relief at times, but was unable to continue my atheltic activities and the pain was even affecting my work.

My wife has been going to Dr. Snow for chiropractic treatments and mentioned that I should go during his patient appreciation week. Following a consultation with Dr. Snow about my foot problem, he felt he could fix it. I assumed, like every other treatment, it would be temporary and full of exercises and gimmick shoe inserts. I was wrong. In 2 visits, my foot was pain free. I was amazed at the results. I am now in my 5th week, and still have no sign. I spent 7 years with the discomfort of plantar fascitis. With Dr. Snow's help the pain is finally gone and I feel like I'm 35 years old again. I umpire men's softball 3 nights a week, and on Sundays I will do up to 7 games, pain free!

As a side note, visits to Dr. Snow's office are easy to fit into a busy schedule. From the time I park my car to the time I'm back on my way in less then 15 minutes. Amazing! Thank you Dr. Snow
